The décor of both Dinah’s Garden Hotel and Trader Vic’s incorporates unusual works of art from around the globe that are carefully placed to highlight their beauty and enhance the ambiance of the property.
The entrance to the hotel boasts a pair of life-sized 19th-century ceremonial elephants from India that are carved in wood and covered in hand-tapped tin relief. The hotel’s gardens are accented with intriguing sculptures, such as a centuries-old Ghandaran Buddha statue beside a lagoon and Japanese-style bridge. The lushly landscaped entrance is also accented by a 19th-century Japanese bronze fountain.
Trader Vic's showcases a collection of unique and authentic pieces of art. The spacious art-filled restaurant almost doubles as an art gallery, with its Pacific-island colors, fabrics and tropical woods. Authentic tiki masks add a whimsical element to the Mai Tai lounge.
